What Patients say?
After touring many schools for the study of Acupuncture I settled on NIAOM. As a part of its clinical training placement in neighborhood clinics, hospitals and rehab clinics was offered. In addition to its outstanding faculty it housed an extensive clinic and herbal pharmacy. NIAOM offered an extensive learning experience that was one of a kind.
After doing physical therapy, I still had pain in my shoulder and a lack of full functioning. With acupuncture I had more relief than anything else I had done and it happened in a shorter period of time and with less effort.
"The Shoulder Whisperer" When I had my shoulder injury, Julie would treat me right after PT and my range of motion would increase by 20-30% in about a minute and a half. My physical therapist was so amazed and told me to always get acupuncture right after I had PT with her. Without acupuncture, it would have taken me much longer to heal my shoulder. Thank you, Julie!
Dear Julie, Just a quick note to say thank you for seeing me during my last 2 weeks of pregnancy. Your care and attention did wonders in helping my back pain and swelling. Thank you again for such wonderful care. I look forward to seeing you in the near future!
Hello Julie, I wanted to say hello and thank you for your care during my pregnancy. It was so great to be cared for by your healing presence. I truly believe your care greatly contributed to all the good we are enjoying in her birth and newborn season.
Julie Booker is an outstanding acupuncturist whose care, attention, skill, and professionalism made my time with her both comfortable and productive. I began seeing Julie on the recommendation of my OB/GYN in the third trimester of my pregnancy to treat my migraine headaches. I have had migraines since I was a child and have always treated them with medication, which I chose to quit during my pregnancy. When my migraines became increasingly frequent and severe in my third trimester, I began seeing Julie, whose treatments began to lessen the frequency of my migraines almost immediately and resolved them completely within a few weeks. I am now 7 weeks post-partum and still haven’t had a migraine since early in my third trimester, which is by far the longest I have ever gone without one. Julie also helped to induce me when I was 39 weeks pregnant with a very large baby (on the advice of my OB/GYN), and I went into labor 6 days early, just one day after my induction treatment. I wholeheartedly recommend Julie to anyone seeking acupuncture treatment for any condition, but especially for migraine treatment and prenatal care.
I wanted to say how much I appreciate your intuition as well, but I didn’t know exactly how to word it. And that you helped me more than many of my doctors and therapists!
I have been a client of Julie Booker’s for the past 8 years. She has dramatically contributed to my healing after serious injury, as well as healing chronic pain caused by stress, like neck pain and headaches. My serious injuries included a concussion, a broken leg and a broken ankle. Julie helped to get things circulating and healing. She also helped my body, mind and spirit cope with the trauma I was experiencing. I trust her with my healing because of her mastery of the art and the science of Acupuncture. She has a warm, welcoming bedside manner that helps me relax and know that she is listening to everything that I say. With her broad knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine she reduces my pain and restores my energy. I always leave feeling stronger and with increased energy.
I was suffering from excruciating headaches and was prescribed these huge pills by a Neurologist. When I read the “side effects” of those meds, I decided not to take those prescribed meds and instead opted for a non-invasive alternative treatment. Fortunately, I discovered Julie Booker. She did both acupuncture and massage at that time and after several treatments with her, she helped get rid of my headaches completely.
So now, every time I have pain issues with my neck or elbows or sciatica pain on my legs, I go to Julie for acupuncture treatments. With every treatment, Julie helps me relax and release all my stress and anxiety with her acupuncture and maintains my energy balance with acupuncture.
I highly recommend Julie Booker for acupuncture treatment.
I just wanted to follow up and let you know that I went into labor the day after our last session and gave birth to a healthy, wonderful baby girl!
