Sound Bath / Qi Gong Classes
Somatic Sound Experience

We are excited to introduce Dr. Celeste Houvener DAOM / LAc.’s acupuncture and sound therapy / qi gong practice to our Downtown Seattle office! To celebrate this new chapter, we are hosting an exclusive, inaugural Somatic Sound Experience at our clinic’s 5th-floor event space, "The Treehouse."
This workshop is designed to ground your nervous system, restore systemic flow, and introduce you to our clinical sound tools.
Event Details
Date & Time: Wednesday, 10/21/2026 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: The "Treehouse" (5th Floor) – Medical Dental Building (across from Westlake)

WHAT WE WILL EXPERIENCE (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM):
Seated Vocal Activation: Regulate conscious breath and tone the vocal cords to calm the nervous system.
Standing Sound Qi Gong: Mindful movement synchronized with sound to clear meridian channels and release tension.
Lying Down TCMST Sound Bath: Rest in an acoustic field engineered with clinical multi-octave frequencies.
Integration & Community Feedback: Reflect on your journey and share your experience.
IMPORTANT PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE READ):
To help introduce this work to the community, this event will be filmed to create educational and promotional media for future programs.
Media Consent: Attendance requires signing a media waiver allowing your image/likeness to be used in event media. (Future non-filmed sessions will be hosted for those who prefer a private setting.)
Energy Exchange (Testimonial): In exchange for free tuition and app access, all participants are required to provide a brief testimonial (written or recorded video) at the end of the session. Your feedback directly helps integrate your personal experience and shapes future clinical programs.
Note: While cameras will be present, the environment remains grounded, intentional, and quiet. Your personal therapeutic experience is our highest priority.
What to Bring (Important Details)
Our venue is a beautiful, open studio space, but no floor props are provided on-site. To ensure you are completely supported and comfortable during the lying-down sound bath, and seated portions please bring your own personal easy to set up and tear down "nest":
Required Essentials:
Yoga Mat or Padded Base: A thick mat, camping pad, or double-layered blanket to cushion your body from the floor.
Blanket: Your body temperature drops during deep relaxation—bring a warm, cozy blanket to stay comfortable.
Pillows or Bolsters: At least 1–2 pillows (one for your head and one to place under your knees to release lower back pressure during the sound bath).
Eye Mask or Scarf: To block out light and help settle your nervous system during the lying-down journey.
Recommended Extras
Water Bottle: Bring a closed water bottle with electrolytes for hydration and aftercare integration.
Journal & Pen: Optional, but helpful if you want to write down insights during the final integration period.
Comfortable Clothing: Wear non-restrictive lounge wear or athletic clothing that allows you to easily move, sit, and lie down.
Items you might have forgotten to consider:
Lower Back Support: Placing a pillow under the knees during a 30-minute floor sound bath is the #1 way to prevent lower back pain—it is worth explicitly highlighting this for attendees!
Slip-On Shoes: Since shoes are taken off at the door, slip-on shoes make transitions much smoother for bathroom breaks during setup.

Capacity is strictly limited.
I look forward to sharing this space, sound, and practice with you!
Warmly,
Acupuncture Northwest & Associates
