“After eight years in the ICU, I transitioned my focus towards integrative health, blending Western diagnostic precision with Eastern therapeutic wisdom. My mission is to bridge the gap between conventional medicine and holistic wellness and eastern philosophy. East Asian medicine offers personalized medicine and blends my internal philosophy of balancing the mind-body-spirit as a whole unit. - Aman”
Dr. Aman Sahota is dual-licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Acupuncture who bridges the precision of Western medicine with the ancient wisdom of East Asian healing. A graduate of Johns Hopkins and Duke University, Aman holds five degrees, including a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Yo San University. Aman speaks English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
Her clinical foundation was forged over nearly a decade as a Registered Nurse in the ICU, where she served on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, her path to integrative health was deeply personal. While navigating her own five-year battle with amenorrhea, a single ear acupuncture treatment during a workshop sparked a profound physical and emotional release. That "mysterious" moment led her to a dedicated regimen of herbs and acupuncture that restored her health in just six weeks, igniting a lifelong mission to master this medicine. She pursued her Doctorate and understands women’s health not only from textbooks and lectures, but from a personal experience. She has experience treating pain, psycho-emotional health, concussions, post-surgical recovery, and women’s health including infertility, menstrual irregularities, menopause.
Currently practicing as a Primary Care Provider on Monday/Wednesdays at Allcare Medical Clinic in Renton, WA, Aman is also a self-published author. Her book, Roobaroo: “Akhaan”, explores the depth of Indian and Pakistani proverbs, reflecting her roots in Northern Indian culture. A true free spirit and lifelong student, she balances her clinical work with a fervor for the outdoors including hiking, rollerskating, cycling, yoga, poetry. She travels often and enjoys the rhythmic energy of Afro-house and Punjabi music.
