Giving Back
Acupuncture Northwest & Associates' Community Involvement
Acupuncture Northwest & Associates is rooted in the community and can often be found giving back.
What's Going On Now

December 3, 2020:
Every year, Acupuncture Northwest & Associates comes together with YouthCare to help homeless youth get what they need and hopefully a few things they want as well!
This year they have gone virtual and posted their wish lists on Amazon. Click on the link below and please donate what you can to help homeless youth thrive!

November 23, 2020: Acupuncture Northwest & Associates joined the Equal Justice Initiative to fund a Jason Lee Middle School remote learning book club. Seems like a very worthy cause to us.
"My students rarely see themselves in printed material. With complete online learning, this collection will motivate students to engage in learning. I am starting a reading club tackling social justice topics and these books will be the focus of our discussions." Mrs. Baughman

Acupuncture Northwest & Associates is proud to announce our partnership with The Tubman Center for Health & Freedom by offering acupuncture care to high-risk, high-need Black & Brown people. If interested in learning how to access care or join in the effort, contact the Tubman Center at tubmanhealth.org and click the "Get in Touch" tab.

July 21, 2020. Today we add another charity to our list of ongoing monthly donations that we make as an organization. We have chosen the East West Food Rescue. Born during the Covid-19 pandemic, this organization pays farmers for their crops in Eastern Washington and then gives them to food banks in Western Washington. What a genius idea! Thank you. May we all have farmers next year...
Today is June 8th, 2020. In light of what is going in the world and with the black community, we have chosen to support charities aimed at assisting the black transgender community. The transgender community is very near to my heart and the black transgender community, especially black transwomen, often struggle greatly and are murdered at an alarming rate. We want the black trans community to know that they are seen, heard and supported by our small band of acupuncturists (and a massage therapist!) in the Pacific Northwest. With love, Stephanie
Here are two charities for the black transgender community that we make a monthly donation to:
Helping train the next generation of acupuncturists and physicians:

We are proud to be a Bastyr University preceptor site. Many acupuncture and naturopathic students have studied at our clinic over the years because of our high quality fertility acupuncture and effective acupuncture for pain. Matt Ferguson also teaches at Bastyr and has been faculty there for over a decade.

We also open our doors to resident physicians to do an elective rotation in our clinics. It's wonderful to be able to share our medicine with the allopathic medicine community.
Giving back to the community:
We also believe in giving back. Acupuncture Northwest & Associates sponsors many non-profit organizations every year. From having a YouthCare Giving Tree to collect gifts for homeless youth to supporting the Rainbow Center Gayla in Tacoma to sponsoring RESOLVE infertility support groups in Seattle, we are making a difference in our communities.
