As a practitioner, I am a patient centered, compassionate caregiver with a passion for physical healing in conjunction with mental, emotional and spiritual transformation. I enjoy using my knowledge of nutrition, supplements and herbs as well as self-care practices to help my patients find their way back into balance and radiant health.
Lucas Hedrick originally graduated from Bastyr University with his Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine masters’ degree in 1998; He has completed his doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a focus on pain management. His specialties are pain management with a focus on orthopedics and sports medicine and fertility care with a focus on support from pre-conception to post-delivery care. His in depth training included his preceptorship with Whitfield Reeves, a world renowned orthopedic and sports medicine practitioner
Lucas is a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine and did a multiyear apprenticeship in fertility acupuncture. He enjoys his work with helping individuals and couples achieve their dream of starting a family as well as dealing with the discomfort that can sometimes accompany pregnancy. In his practice he uses acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, moxa, tui na, gua sha, trigger point therapy, herbs, supplements and self-care protocols.
My most recent preceptorship I spent two years training at Harborview Medical Center in the Pain Medicine department treating patients in an integrative inpatient setting. This program also had a heavy focus on research, research-design as well as pain management protocols. During my education I travelled to California to train with Whitfield Reeves a world renowned sports medicine acupuncture instructor. This was an experience that changed my clinical practice and gave me a high level of skills in treating patients in orthopedics and sports medicine. In my previous apprenticeship, I spent more than two years working alongside one of the top acupuncture fertility doctors in California in conjunction with one of the biggest Northern California Fertility clinics focusing on IVF care, natural fertility support, labor support as well as breech presentation and miscarriage prevention.
I consider myself an active member of our community and enjoy volunteering my time and energy to help others directly in the LGBTQ+ and unhoused population on a regular basis. In my spare time I love to travel, hike and explore growing and foraging all the amazing healing plants and foods in our area.
