Lucas Hedrick originally graduated from Bastyr University with his Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine masters’ degree in 1998, He just recently completed his doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a focus on pain management. His specialties are pain management as well as orthopedics and sports medicine which he completed his preceptorship with Whitfield Reeves, a world renowned orthopedic and sports medicine practitioner in California. He has also done a multiyear preceptorship in a fertility acupuncture clinic. In his practice he uses acupuncture, cupping, moxa, tuina, guasha, and trigger point therapy.
I have spent the last two years training at Harborview Medical Center in the Pain Medicine department treating patients in an integrative inpatient setting. This program also had a heavy focus on research, research-design as well as pain management. During my education I travelled to California to train with Whitfield Reeves a world renowned sports medicine acupuncture instructor. This was an experience that changed my clinical practice and gave me a high level of skills in treating patients in orthopedics and sports medicine which is my primary clinical interest.
As a practitioner, I am a self-motivated, compassionate caregiver with a passion for learning, education, and research. I have a background in herbal medicine as well as a wide experience with natural supplements and nutrition.
I consider myself an active member of our community and enjoy volunteering my time and energy to help others directly in the homeless population on a regular basis. In my spare time I love to travel, primarily to SE Asia with my daughter to explore and eat all the amazing food.
