I love Chinese medicine because every treatment is so unique and always tailored specifically to suit each individual’s needs and constitution at the time. -Hefei Liang, Acupuncturist
Hefei Liang is a licensed practitioner of East Asian medicine in the state of Washington, and is board certified by the NCCAOM in both acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She received her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University. Growing up in Beijing, China, she was able to experience traditional Chinese medicine from a young age. From that point on, her passion only grew. Being fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, she has been able to take her studies outside the English acupuncture research and into the traditional Chinese manuscripts. Acupuncture Northwest is proud to have Hefei on their team!
Treating Anxiety and Depression
Hefei is drawn to Chinese medicine's ability to relieve stress and anxiety through its mechanism to calm the nervous system and put the patient into a state relaxation that often continues well beyond the time the person has the needles in. And in these trying times, it is even more rewarding to help patients cope with their anxiety and depression. See our mental health pages for more information on how Hefei approaches anxiety and depression using acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Treating Chronic and Acute Pain
Hefei also loves the immediate and long term satisfaction of treating chronic and acute pain. Whether it's a sports injury or chronic pain, acupuncture's ability to relieve pain is well known and well proven. See our pain pages for some of the studies.
