HEFEI LIANG IS A NATIVE MANDARIN SPEAKER
Hefei Liang is a licensed practitioner of East Asian medicine in the state of Washington, a Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine and board certified by the NCCAOM in both acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
She received her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University. Growing up in Beijing, China, she was able to experience traditional Chinese medicine from a young age. From that point on, her passion only grew. Being fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, she has been able to take her studies outside the English acupuncture research and into the traditional Chinese manuscripts. Acupuncture Northwest is proud to have Hefei on their team!
Hefei has also done additional training in treating pregnant patients. She has studied with Debra Betts and has had pregnancy acupuncture training with clinic director, Stephanie Gianarelli. She sees patients from the first trimester through postpartum. Coming from China, Hefei truly understands the concept of "Sitting the month", the Chinese concept that to truly heal after childbirth, the birthing person must take time to heal and regain full health to protect their future health.
Treating Anxiety and Depression
Hefei is drawn to Chinese medicine's ability to relieve stress and anxiety through its mechanism to calm the nervous system and put the patient into a state relaxation that often continues well beyond the time the person has the needles in. And in these trying times, it is even more rewarding to help patients cope with their anxiety and depression.
