Acupuncture May Work To Reduce Stress, Study Suggests

Anyone who has had acupuncture can attest to its relaxing effects.    A recent Georgetown study suggests that acupuncture may work by reducing a protein that is associated with chronic stress. In Chinese medicine, we view stress relief as a result of smoothing the flow of qi and blood through the body (almost like pressing a ‘reset’ button).  One of the great strengths of Chinese Medicine is that it does not separate the mind, body, and spirit. Many acupuncture points have multiple effects on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.
